Greg Norman and wife

Golfer Greg Norman with his new wife, who is the same woman he was cheating with not one, but two wives ago. Now they can finally be together! Obviously it was destiny. It's like a fairy tale, if you think about it.

Michael Lohan

I feel weird that I'm even posting a sketch of this guy. I did the drawing because I wanted to study the shadows on his face. I'm only dimly aware that he's a celebrity, and I kind of feel like if I'm going to feature someone, it should at least be somebody whose work I admire. I guess being the biological creator of Lindsay Lohan's tits is something, but I dunno.

Chuck Liddell

I don't know anything about UFC, I just really liked this video. I always dug those Lipton Brisk ads where they'd do an animated version of Rocky or whatever. They came up with a funny/disturbing way to extend that campaign into the age of viral video.

Kelly Rutherford

In case you're wondering, these aren't just practice sketches of some random celebrity I saw in a magazine. I had a good reason for drawing this person given that I'm so well informed about her. Like for instance, I learned from looking at the caption of this photograph that she's one of the stars of Gossip Girl, which I'm certain is definitely a show on, uh... TV, I guess. It must be TV. Is it TV? They still make TV shows, right?

Well, I'm glad we settled that. All this research is exhausting.

Megan Fox in "Jennifer's Body"

So are we all still in love with Megan Fox, or are we deep into the backlash yet? I can't keep track. A couple of months ago all I read was nice things about her, but now apparently everybody hates her. Somehow over the summer she went from being universally adored to being some kind of enemy of the human race.

We males supposedly see attractive women only as sex objects, but that's clearly not true. Eventually we look past that to appreciate a woman's character. Specifically, our feelings of attraction to a famous woman we're never going to meet can result in feelings of shame and inadequacy, which then have to be medicated with scorn and derision. So in a short period of time we go from, "Dude, that Megan Fox is so hot" to "Dude, that Megan Fox is a total bitch".

What complex, enigmatic creatures we are!

Sofia Milos

Yesterday I had a few minutes to kill waiting for some client feeback, so I decided to spend it doing a random practice sketch off the front page of Tyler. Of some woman. In a bikini top. Adjusting her shorts. She's probably famous or something but frankly that kind of stuff's not interesting to me. I'm only motivated by my passionate commitment to art.

The world's saddest-looking android

Governer Schwartzenegger's budget woes apparently now far outstrip those of Gray Davis. Which after all were what motivated the recall election that put Arnold in office in the first place. Who's the girlie man now, Arnold?

If Californians were so determined to elect the Terminator, they should have thought about Robert Patrick from T2. Because at least he would have known how to stay liquid. ZING!!! I got a million of 'em!

Woah Black Betty, Bam-ba-lam

I don't actually have anything to say about the passing of pinup legend Bettie Page. It's pretty much an excuse to draw some tits. Okay, I admit that didn't quite cut it as a eulogy, but what am I, a priest? Let's just pretend I wrote something respectful and move on.

Jay Leno

NBC took a giant stride into the future of prime time television this week.

The traditional TV networks are facing dwindling audience share and possible obsolescence. Their survival depends on throwing out the traditional models of programming and developing bold, fresh content that electrifies viewers and locks them in for a generation to come. Now more than ever, they need to focus on creative talent and innovation. To stay on top of a growing heap, they need to find and nurture the new Losts, the new Sopranos, the new Seinfelds. Jay Leno should be proud that in these exciting, uncertain times, the network of “Must-See TV” has tapped him as the man capable of taking the 10pm hour and delivering content that is definitely way, way cheaper to produce than any of those other shows.

It’s a bold statement, bringing Leno to prime time. And that statement is, “We give up.”

Marisa Tomei

Lots of websites are probably running these hubba-hubba pics of Marisa Tomei from The Wrestler. Those other sites are just exploiting the prurient interest in seeing a famous woman naked. But this site? Art.

Joan Rivers at the Cutting Room

"You think you're getting a show?
You're getting the ramblings of an old lady."

For a couple of years I've been hearing comedians on talk radio rave about Joan Rivers' sets at a tiny midtown club called the Cutting Room. The other night curiosity got the best of me and we checked it out.

It's an irrisistable prospect: Here's the most sold-out, face-lifted, television-mediocrity, QVC-embarrassment, walking punchline in the world, and in her 70's she suddenly gets the standup bug again. And instead of taking it to Broadway to soak the same rubes who buy her jewelry, she does sets every week she's in town at a little performance space filled with locals who are going to make her work for it.

And work she does. She's on the attack from the word go. Her pop-culture references are mostly 20 years out of date, but who cares, it was as brutal as I'd been led to believe. She started with the California wildfires and just got darker from there, not neglecting to riff on 9/11, the Holocaust, or even her own no-talent daughter along the way.

The crowd eats it up, but a lady at our table did find the Anne Frank material a touch offensive. As Rivers would say, "Is she here?"
